Linus Bickmann
Dramaturg & Assistant to the General Manager
Linus Bickmann was born in Westfalia, where he discovered his passion for classical music playing the organ at Paderborn Cathedral.
He studied musicology, theatre studies and literature at the University of Bayreuth, the Università Ca' Foscari in Venice and at the Free University Berlin. From 2012 to mid-2015, he worked for the Lautten Compagney Berlin, initially as a project manager, then as dramaturg of the ensemble.
His great interest in early music is focused in particular on baroque opera. For studies to the genre of opera parody he received a scholarship from the Musicological Department of the German Historical Institute in Rome (2010).
Linus Bickmann gained diverse experience in arts management through internships, inter alia, in the orchestra management of the Komische Oper in Berlin.
Since June 2015 he works for the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin.
