Viola Eckert starts to work as a project manager for the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin in August 2017.
Born in Tübingen, Ms. Eckert studied musicology as well as Spanish studies at the Folkwang University of the Arts and at the University of Duisburg-Essen.
After finshing her studies, she completed a trainee program for orchestral management at the Deutsche Staatsphilharmonie Rheinland-Pfalz. She also gained practical experience in the field of concert organization through internships, among others at the Musikpodium Stuttgart and the Festspiele Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
Most recently, she worked as project manager and personal assistant of the board at the Musical Academy of the Nationaltheater-Orchester Mannheim.
