Yves Ytier
Violin
Yves Ytier, born in Santiago de Chile, lives and works in Germany since 2011. He studied violin first at the Universidad Católica de Chile and then at the Berlin University of the Arts. Since 2014 he has dedicated himself to historical performance practice and completed a master's degree in baroque violin at Folkwang University of the Arts and postgraduate studies at the University Mozarteum Salzburg.
He regularly plays as concertmaster and principal with renowned early music ensembles such as the Internationale Bach Akademie Stuttgart, the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, Concerto Köln, Cappella Mediterranea, Millenium Orchester, Capella Jenensis, among others.
Yves Ytier also completed studies in contemporary dance at Folkwang University of the Arts and danced at the Stadttheater Trier in 2015 and 2016. He is choreographer and dancer of the ensemble uBu and the ensemble Europa Danzante and realizes his own pieces focusing on the relationship between music, sound and movement.
