Flóra Fábri

Flóra Fábri grew up in a Hungarian artist family. She studied harpsichord and historical keyboard instruments in her hometown of Budapest as well as in Munich, Tokyo, and Essen, working with Anikó Soltész, Christine Schornsheim, and Christian Rieger. In addition to her regular collaboration with the Akademie für Alte Musik Berlin, she is a member of the Köthener BachCollektiv. She also maintains close artistic partnerships with Ensemble Polyharmonique, the RIAS Kammerchor Berlin, and Concerto Köln. Flóra Fábri performs throughout Europe as a soloist and in chamber music settings.
Alongside her concert career, teaching is an important part of her professional life. After several years as a lecturer at the music universities in Frankfurt, Cologne, and Vienna, she was appointed Professor of Historical Performance Practice at the Detmold University of Music in 2022.
Her discography includes more than fifteen CDs in the fields of opera, orchestral, and chamber music. As a soloist, she has recorded two albums (cpo/Deutschlandfunk Kultur), including a recording of the keyboard works of Ernst Wilhelm Wolf (1735–1792), which was nominated for the OPUS Klassik Award in two categories.
